 Conference Program 

This year's Conference includes:
  • Pre-Conference Training – There are now two pre-conference training tracks being offered: Recovery 101 and How to Build and Design an EOC. FEMA Region X will be helping out with the Recovery 101 and we have invited the City of Seattle's Operations Coordinator who has experience with three major EOCs; Seattle, Bellevue, and King County.
  • Attend a meeting of the House Committee on Emergency Preparedness and Ocean Policy – 4/21/08
  • Annual OEMA Meeting and Elections – 4/22/08
  • Keynote Speaker – General Reese Adjutant General, Oregon National Guard
  • General Session presentations by Walmart and Oregon Public Utilities Commission
  • Closing general session by Governor Ted Kulongoski (invited)

 Exhibitor Registration


Exhibitor Registration Fee - $350
  • Registration includes space and table rental, inclusion in the exhibitor list provided to all attendees, lunch on Tuesday and Wednesday, and the evening social on Tuesday. (This is included in all Conference Sponsorship packages)

Non-Profit Organization Registration Fee:

If you are a recognized non-profit organization there are two registration options:
  • $175 - An Exhibit Booth located in the Exhibition Hall with the for-profit businesses, which will be used to provide information and display products that you sell.
  • $75 - An Information Booth that will be used to provide information on the services that your organization provides and it will be located in the foyer outside the Exhibition Hall.

Additional Options

If you are unable to participate at the conference, we have two options that will allow you to have printed material about your products/services provided to the conference attendees.
  • $25 - Your information will be set out on the conference information table near the registration table.
  • $200 - Your information will be included in the conference information packets that are provided to each attendee (This is included in the Platinum, Gold, and Silver Conference Sponsorship packages)

Please make your room reservations directly with Sunriver Resort at 800-801-8765 prior to the March 21st cutoff date. Be sure to tell them you are attending the Oregon Emergency Management Association Conference in order to get these special rates.
  • Standard Government Rate - $75.00 per night*
  • Non-Government Rate - $149.00 per night*

 2008 Innovation, Coordination, and Service (ICS) Awards Program

The emergency managers of Oregon are among the most innovative, collaborative, and dedicated professionals in the nation. We are known for our creativity, doing more with less, and getting the job done despite the odds. We may not always get the recognition we deserve, but we can do something to honor the good work of our peers.

Now is the time to take a few moments to nominate your colleagues for this year's Oregon Emergency Management Association (OEMA) Awards. Simply fill out and return one or more of the following nomination forms by Friday, March 21.

AWARD CATEGORIES

Innovation - Demonstrates unique approach to successfully accomplish a project or task.

Coordination - Demonstrates exceptional coordination across jurisdictional and/or functional boundaries to accomplish a specific project/task which otherwise could not be completed.

Service - Demonstrates the provision of an exceptional level of service beyond the scope of normal job requirements.

Partner - This category of award will recognize the emergency management contributions made by non-OEMA members.  The criteria are similar to those for the other OEMA awards.  Persons eligible for a Partners Award can be from a public, private, nonprofit, or other organization.  The nomination must be made by an OEMA member.  (NOTE:  There is a separate nomination form for this category.)

The winners will be recognized at the OEMA Conference Awards Banquet on Wednesday, April 23, at Sunriver, Oregon.  Let's honor the good work Oregon's emergency managers and their partners throughout the state are doing. Thanks!
